You might feel stuck in patterns that don’t make sense—even when you try to think your way through them. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself or others, or unsure why certain reactions keep showing up. You may know something feels off—but don’t quite have the words for it yet. You’re not alone in this. And more importantly—there is a way to understand and shift these patterns.

In our work together, you won’t be rushed or pushed. My approach integrates Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Polyvagal Theory to help you understand not just why you feel the way you do—but how those patterns were formed, and how they can begin to shift.

Together, we work to: understand your emotional and relational patterns gently process past experiences and trauma responses build nervous system regulation and stability reconnect you with a sense of safety within yourself create more meaningful connection in your relationships.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Therapy with me is a slow, intentional, and deeply supportive process. As safety grows, we begin working more directly with emotional triggers and deeper patterns—at a pace that feels right for you.

Over time, clients often begin to: feel more regulated and less overwhelmed understand their emotional responses more clearly experience less reactivity and more choice feel more connected to themselves and others.

A PERSONAL APPROACH My path into this work was shaped by both personal and professional experience. When I was young, I wanted to be a writer. I went into journalism and that’s where I figured out why I was so obsessed with stories. True stories heal us.

I have spent the last 30 years, both personally and professionally, in the field of addiction. I became increasingly sad as I witnessed the suffering that goes along with substance abuse and behavioural addictions. I learned as a volunteer and mentor that helping people uncover their true story also creates healing. So, I went to Yorkville University and obtained a master’s degree in counselling psychology.

Along the way I found inspiration in several theories. The right intervention depends on what happened to you, and what you told yourself about it.

I have found these techniques work well for addiction but in many other circumstances including disordered eating, depression, and anxiety. Today, I help adults, youth, couples and families to improve their mental health, their relationships, and overall quality of life.

The best part is every story can have a new ending.

Successful on the outside—but unsettled within. And at this stage, surface-level conversations are no longer enough.

A DIFFERENT LEVEL OF THERAPY I’m Svetlana, Founder of InnerSight Psychotherapy, Registered Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2009 and supervising therapists since 2013.

While I work directly with clients, my primary role today is mentorship and clinical development—ensuring that every therapist at InnerSight delivers therapy that is not only supportive, but effective, ethical, and deeply transformative.

When you work with me, you are stepping into a process shaped by: years of clinical experience advanced therapeutic frameworks and a standard of care that extends across the entire clinic.

HOW I WORK My approach goes beyond symptom management. We work at the level where change actually happens: core emotional patterns unconscious beliefs attachment dynamics nervous system responses

I integrate modalities such as: Coherence Therapy (deep transformational work) Internal Family Systems (IFS) IMAGO (relationship repair and connection) This allows us to not just understand your patterns—but shift them at their root.

SPECIALTY: RELATIONSHIPS A significant part of my work is with individuals and couples navigating: recurring conflict emotional disconnection breakdown in communication intimacy challenges betrayal, resentment, or distance.

I help couples move from: blame → understanding reactivity → regulation disconnection → emotional and physical closeness This is not about “managing conflict.” This is about rebuilding connection if you are ready for that.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT Many clients come to me after trying other forms of therapy. What they’re often looking for is: deeper clarity faster access to root causes real, lasting change My role is to help you get there—with precision, depth, and direction.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Clients who work with me often experience: a clear understanding of long-standing patterns meaningful shifts in how they feel and respond improved relationship dynamics and communication a stronger sense of self and emotional stability change that continues beyond the therapy room.

BEYOND THE SESSION InnerSight was built not only as a clinic—but as a place where therapists are trained to do this work well. Through ongoing supervision and mentorship, I oversee: clinical quality therapist development and the integrity of the therapeutic process across the practice This means your care is part of a larger system built on excellence, consistency, and growth.

For those who are ready for real change—not just insight. If you’re here, chances are something ... Read More

You’ve been pushing through — managing expectations, taking care of others, and keeping everything in order — but inside, you feel drained, unfocused, or like something is missing.

Whether you’re feeling emotionally overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or unsure of how to move forward, therapy can offer space to pause, reflect, and realign with your needs.

I support individuals, couples, children (10+) and teenagers navigating stress, burnout, relationship issues, perfectionism, and emotional exhaustion. Many of my clients feel disconnected — from themselves, their goals, or the life they want to live.

Our work together will be grounded in compassion, safety, and your story. I draw from a wide range of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative, Gestalt, existentialism, human centred theories, and psychosomatic healing practices. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface and gently move toward clarity, self-trust, and lasting change.
